We are a team of cloud-native security engineers who saw the critical gap in container protection. While enterprises raced to adopt Kubernetes, security tools remained stuck in the legacy era—blind to container threats and slow to respond. We founded KubeDefend to change that.
Ahmet KAPLAN – Founder & CEO
Ahmet Kaplan earned his BS in Electric-Electronic Engineering from Bilkent University, followed by an MSc and PhD from Erciyes University. He worked as an instructor at Erciyes University and Civil Aviation School before conducting post-doctorate research at Georgia Institute of Technology from 2000 to 2005. Kaplan served as IT Director and Vice President at Turksat, where he managed the e-government portal’s development. He then directed the Turkish Academic Network & Information Center at TUBİTAK and coordinated the FATIH Project from 2012 to 2014. Currently he is the head of AI Engineering department at Istanbul Medipol University.
Abdullah ASLAN – Co-Founder
A Computer Engineer specializing in cloud technology with a robust background in cybersecurity, excelling in both front-end and back-end development using Python and C to create scalable applications. Proficient in Linux administration and scripting, they automate tasks to enhance system efficiency. With Cisco certifications, they possess a strong understanding of networking protocols, enabling them to design secure and reliable network infrastructures. This diverse skill set makes them a valuable asset in the tech industry.
Zuhair ALSARHI – Co-Founder
A motivated Computer Engineer with a solid foundation in both software development and cybersecurity. With hands-on experience in multiple programming languages, including Python, C, C++, and C#, with a focus on back-end and application development. Supplemented academic studies with industry-recognized certifications from Cisco Networking Academy and Adrian Cantrill, demonstrating a dedicated initiative to build expertise in cybersecurity and cloud technologies.
